NEW YORK and BALTIMORE – April 21, 2009 – Wimba® Inc., the education technology company that helps people teach people, and Moodlerooms, Inc., a Moodle Partner that provides tools and services for online learning, today announced a partnership that offers affordable, hosted implementations of the Wimba Collaboration Suite™ within Moodle, the world’s most widely used open-source online learning system.
The Wimba Collaboration Suite 6.0 combines interactive technologies such as voice, video, podcasting, instant messaging, application sharing, polling and whiteboarding, to extend learning beyond the boundaries of the physical classroom. Wimba’s partnership with Moodlerooms makes this safe “virtual venue” easily accessible to teachers and students so they can improve student achievement, address multiple learning styles and participate in engaging, interactive courses online within Moodle.
