ABILENE, Texas—Dozens of professors from across the state came to Hardin-Simmons to talk technology.
Representatives from 35 colleges attended the Texas Blackboard Users Annual Conference, where they focused on the “Blackboard” program.
It’s an e-learning tool that gives college students access to classroom materials right from their computer.
At Friday’s conference, educators had a chance to collaborate to make use of the technology.
Dr. Trish Ritschel-Trifilo, the Director of Online Learning at Hardin-Simmons University, says, “By networking here then we can open up our classrooms and do a better job of educating students.”
Educators meet to discuss the new developments with the application, brainstorm ways to use it, and share ideas.
