Presenter: Tova Duby & Eric Palson, Babson College
Babson College has been an advocate of Blackboard Collaborate (formerly Elluminate Live!) for a number of years. During that time it has seen a tremendous growth in the number of faculty using it. Babson has also seen some great examples of how Blackboard Collaborate can be used to replace a face-to-face class and even takes what can be done in a face-to-face class to another level by leveraging the technology.
Come here how Babson helped its faculty turn a face-to-face class into an amazing experience!
Babson has a pair of faculty who team-teach a class session. Traditionally the class starts in one room with both faculty, and then as presentations and guest speakers are brought into the mix, the class and faculty have to all get up and move so they are in two separate rooms. Using Blackboard Collaborate and its multimedia studio, Babson was able to change the faculty and student experience for this class - making it more engaging, keeping it moving at a smooth pace and using the technology to take the overall experience to the next level. Join Tova Duby and Eric Palson live online to hear how they used a Blackboard Collaborate session, breakout rooms, its studio which is equipped with audio and video equipment, one classroom, and a faculty office to support this amazing teaching moment.
