JOB DESCRIPTION:
Wimba, Inc., the leader in web-based collaboration software designed for online education, language learning and live interactive communications, is currently looking for an EMEA Regional Sales Manager to manage clients and opportunities across the United Kingdom. The position will be based from a home office or from our Cambridge office. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to join a fast-growing company with a track record of success.
- Working collaboratively and supportively with the VP of EMEA Sales (direct reporting line) to meet the UK regional new sales revenue and retention goals and implement strategic initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategies to meet sales and revenue objectives, such as identifying new sales opportunities and trends, generate sales leads.
- Participate in regular meetings, including pipeline reviews and product updates in order to share information and review progress regularly with the Account Team.
- Work towards the team success to achieve revenue goals in excess of $1M/year.
- On-site joint-visits and participation to events are required.
- Prepare weekly forecasts to communicate and review progress against revenue goals.
- Stay informed of industry trends, competition and changing technology to resolve business issues and understand trends and opportunities.
- Build strategic relationships at customer organizations and collaborate with Key Resellers on deals.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience selling and supporting complex technical software & services solutions and high value clients
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to clarify the needs and priorities of prospective customers throughout the sales cycle to move the sale from a “lead” to a “close.”
- Ability to take ownership of problems and coordinate appropriate internal resources to help solve customer issues effectively and efficiently.
- Experience of selling into the Education and Government sectors in EMEA.
- Able to bring a book of business to the table in EMEA (desirable)
- Languages: English is a must, Spanish and Arabic a plus. A multilingual candidate is desirable.
