Award Details:
The 21st Century Award for Best Practices in Distance Learning is awarded to recipients by the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) to acknowledge major accomplishments in distance learning and to highlight those distance learning instructors, programs, and professionals who have achieved and demonstrated extraordinary results through the use of online, videoconferencing, satellite and blended learning delivery technologies. With its use of Wimba Classroom, Stevens Institute of Technology was able to conduct both real-time and recorded class sessions, and will even soon implement the Wimba Pronto instant messaging system to help link students with instructors, help desks and other students.
