Implementing Wimba Pronto as Help Desk

Hi…

I work as a Lab Attendant in an Enrollment Services Center for Financial Aid and Registrar.  Many of the Financial Aid and Registration processes are online for student convenience.  When student come into the computer lab they lack the “how to” in navigating the online applications.  I would like to implement Wimba Pronto in my lab so that students can login from a lab computers to communicate with me at the help desk.

any advise???

At Marshall we have implemented a couple of these.  We have:

Ask a Librarian
Tutoring Services
IT Service Desk
MUOnline Help (online courses help in Blackboard system)
MU Wimba Help (student/faculty for help with Wimba products)
Learn 9 Pilot (for faculty participating in our new Learn pilot)

We created the groups and enrolled the users who would be the “techs”.  So far so good, the IT Help Desk and Wimba ones are the most used.  They show up for users under the School Tab.
