Idaho Digital Learning Academy is a K-12 virtual school serving the entire state of Idaho. One of its biggest collaborative technology boons has been using Wimba Classroom to train teachers. Since Idaho is so large in terms of geography, IDLA training via Wimba Classroom has:
· Trained 600 teaches throughout Idaho
· Saved $50,400 in mileage reimbursement costs.
· Eliminated more than 3,100 “out of office” hours!
· Saved 97,000+ travel miles.
· Saved 4,850+ gallons of gasoline
· Addtl cost savings include overnight accomm, meals, etc. & is not included in the $50,400.
