Polling - an intregral role in keeping students engaged

In the Pre-conference session I attended I learned the great advantages of using Poling in your Wimba room. It keeps those is attendance engaged and allows others viewing the recorded session to be engaged and to feel a part of the class.

Greetings,

As the health and physical education instructor for Dekalb Online Academy, I serve all of the high schools and centers for the county. I also create the courses for the online academy. After the conference, I felt empowered and motivated to go back and change my courses! The voice tool will bring my courses to next level. I love the concept of “students blogging with their mouths.” I have so many ideas for podcasts too. Currently, we do not have Pronto but as a K-12 educator, the white board is such an effective tool. Having the ability to archive Wimba classroom into a MP4 is so awesome. The portability factor is the best part. I can imagine my students working out with the heart rate monitors and revisiting a lesson on their MP4 player to get ready for a test or to remember how to use the monitor. The collaboration combined can truly defy the physical classroom. I am excited about Wimba and excited about how it will take our school to next level.

Hi, Im a business studies teacher in Ireland and I would love to see about setting up an online classroom for my students using Wimba. Can anybody tell me how to go about it??
